Cleaning our myspace layouts
At some point over the past 6 months the amount of comments completely unrelated to our artists myspace layouts sky rocketed.. Put simply there was just a lot of junk posted that needed to be deleted because it was either extremely offensive, spammy or just plain useless.. We've removed a lot of these comments and will continue to do so as part of our effort to have the cleanest myspace layout site out there. Comments have been disabled on a lot of layouts.

For the myspace artists looking to get into our our top 100 the following will help you understand how the list works. The top 100 layouts show the most popular myspace layouts (based up average daily usage), the list changes just about every day but a number of layouts are nearly always in the top list. Currently about half of the layouts are created by artists and half were created by us a long time ago. For your layout to make it into the top few spots it had to be popular from day 1 or it will quickly fall (and probably not be view by many people). The new layouts list on the front page allows people to view the latest layouts and helps artists launch new designs.
Interesting layouts
There have been some really interesting myspace layouts created by artists over the past few weeks, which is really great. Layouts which we never would have imagined creating are getting quite good use. Great to see the layout editor being used creatively and artists efforts gaining popularity.
MySpace Layout Redesign
Regular visitors will notice the site redesign we've under taken over the last month. We will be adding more tweaks and updates over the next few weeks as we gather feedback and review usage. We've focussed the changes entirely on making the site easier to navigate. Already we are seeing a massive increase in the number of myspace layouts artists are creating which will hopefully make the site a better myspace resource for everyone else. Artists layouts are now accessible in regular categories so budding myspace artists will hopefully enjoy a much larger audience. A layout editor tip
When choosing a background picture for your layout there are a number of things to consider, firstly choose a picture which is likely to remain in the same location. Your layout code will point to wherever the picture happens to be, if the picture is moved your layout background will no longer work. Secondly consider people with different screen sizes, most people still operate 1024x768 (At least on this site) so you might like to centre small images, fade into a background color and just be mindful of the the image size you are using.

You've probably seen the customize button next to everyone of our myspace layouts which allows to you easily add your own finishing touches. But most people don't realize the myspace editor contains just about every myspace code you might want to add to your myspace layout.. Myspace game codes, myspace extended network codes, myspace layout codes for reversing your profile and much much more. You might like a background from one layout but a contact table from another layout.. Just hit customize and mix and match!!
